And so, in the end. see what you end up with. I tried this with www.tankathon.com and opted to simulate a lottery for my NBA mock draft simulation.

With my first pick, I landed SF Justin Jackson with the 36th pick from the NY Knicks. He is a small forward with sold athleticism and a promising three point shot. And so, I traded him to the Houston Rockets for their 44th and 45th second round picks.
With my second pick, at 40, Tankathon dumped center Anžejs Pasečņiks to the Philadelphia 76ers. Knowing the Utah Jazz wanted this guy, I trade him to the Utah Jazz for the 42nd pick in 2017 and a 2018 second round pick. I next trade the 42nd, 44th, 45th, and 46th picks to the New Orleans Pelicans for their 2019 first round pick.
Finally, at the 49th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, I land Kansas State small forward Wesley Iwundu.
In this draft, the Philadelphia 76ers landed Malik Monk, Wesley Iwundu, a 2019 New Orleans first round pick. And due to not conveying in 2017, the Los Angeles Lakers first round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft is ours. Oh, that New Orleans first joins the Sacramento Kings first round pick.
Of course this is a mock simulation. And of course, since I am one-siding trades, there is the question of whether other teams will take the trade. But check the history of 76ers trades in the second round. On one hand, there is plenty of fertile ground in the second round. On the other hand, simply keep building value, and using that value to grab a better stake in future drafts.
