Winds of Change

But things have changed. This is no longer a new team to team president Bryan Colangelo. And after all the recent upheavals, I suspect that events are far more likely to turn out differently.

Those suspicions gained confidence after reading a recent article by Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times.  In fact, it was the interview with Colangelo himself which dispersed the fog of the future.

"“If we’re going to maintain flexibility going forward, that’s not a bad thing, either. I think part of that will be determined on whether or not we have one or two draft picks in the top 10 this year."

Damn You Lottery! Damn You All To Hell!

So the lottery defines more than where the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2017 NBA Draft.   In fact, the lottery will dictate the team’s aggressiveness in the trade and free agent markets.

After all, this is not a team with patience any longer.  The team is no longer about letting player chemistry and cohesion happen naturally.  If the ping pong balls do not fall the 76ers way this year, look for the team’s front office to take matters into their own hands.
