Can Philadelphia 76ers Find 25 All-Time NBA Draft 2nd Rounder?

Philadelphia Pick 46 Options
When the Philadelphia 76ers step up to announce the 46th pick of the NBA Draft, the team has begun in the bottom 25 percent of the 2017 NBA Draft. But the draft overall is quite deep and talented.
As such, there is the chance that any of the aforementioned players could fall to the Philadelphia 76ers at 46. But in the likelihood that all have been selected, there is more where that came from. At 46, the team enter the last quartile of this draft. Rather than look for obvious upside, the focus becomes excellence at a niche skillset, with the belief that the rest of the prospect’s game will follow suit over time.
With the 46th pick of the 2017 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers select….
Baylor power forward Jonathan Motley is a curious enough prospect in the 2017 NBA Draft. With the shortage of front court prospects, he could come off the board as high as round one. In fact, Sixer Sense’s Kline projected Motley as the 31st pick in this draft. As far as excellence, look no further than a 7-foot-4 wingspan on this 6-foot-9 238 pounder.
Motley has excellent command of his reach, as he averaged 17.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Those are huge numbers this deep in the draft. But he is just 6-foot-9, a tad undersized for the true four role. Combine that with a still-under-construction offensive arsenal and you have the makings of a player who, at 46, is too much of a steal to pass up.
