Joel Embiid gets the gentle approach
Joel Embiid – knee – We know that the news about Joel Embiid’s knee injury was a sore spot with many last season. Information as imperfect, news was too late. We did discover that Joel Embiid had surgery in California, close to the residence of one star singer Rihanna. Now, Joel Embiid is easing back into the basketball regimen.

Game status
In any case, he is off the lineups of both games this week: October 4 vs. Memphis, nor October 6 vs. Boston. And so, there is a growing likelihood that Joel Embiid will not see playing time until the season begins. The team has been keeping Joel on a tight leash in terms of practice. He has been participating in half court five on fives but not full-court practices.
Brown said practices based around what Embiid's cleared to do-“We are trying to cater the structure to slowly groom Joel back into the mix.”

I don’t think that this is alarming. The team knows that knees only take so much, and by controlling how much Joel Embiid does in preseason, they get more in the season. While disappointing, it makes sense.
And now for the other “scratches” from tomorrow night’s game with the Memphis Grizzlies (October 4).
