The vision of Joel Embiid

Some attribute the social media statements of 76ers center Joel Embiid to irresponsible rantings of a young NBA star-in-the-making without inhibitions. Some simply don’t pay much attention to him. But if you follow his strategy, you have to conclude that Joel Embiid is pure genius.

He speaks up. And that voice carries more weight than any give him credit for. His playoff claim with a 9-25 team galvanized his teammates into competitive believers.  His tweets from his gym training fed desperately needed hope to a fan base starving for something, and someone, to believe in.

His social media wooing of Rihanna shows just how high the bar is set for the player and the team.
