Past injury misfires deja vu
The team has had some misfires in the past over the injuries to key players. We all know the issues with center Jahlil Okafor’s knee soreness. We know that center Joel Embiid’s knee soreness eventually became a meniscus tear which required surgery.
As before in the days of Sam Hinkies tenure, it is head coach Brett Brown who faces the media. Not a team physician, and not the team president. The most crucial information is left to head coach Brett Brown to disseminate. That is not the way it should be according to the org chart. The head coach prepares the team to play, and answers game questions.
As Coach Brown speculates that Markelle Fultz changed his shot, Fultz’s trainer Keith Williams offered another opinion to USA Today’s Sam Amick
"“The shot was never changed. He’s a great shooting point guard. There haven’t been many point guards who shot the ball as well as him coming out of college, off the dribble and off the catch. I never changed the shot. Why would I?” -Keith Williams"
But the more things change in Philly, the more they stay the same it seems.
