Scouting Report. Duke. Trevon Duval. 11. Pick Analysis. PG. player. 156

Fortunately for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Trevon Duval falls to their laps at pick 11. This would be a solid selection as Duval can use his speed and passing ability to open up the game. With Derrick Rose being an unreliable option, Duval will eventually be able to take the reigns as the starting point guard for the Cavaliers.

In addition to his playmaking ability, Duval is above-average on the defensive side of the ball. After seeing how bad the Cavaliers were defensively to start the season, Duval will be of great help on that side of the ball.

It still remains unclear whether or not LeBron James will actually leave town this summer. If he does, which I think he will, Duval will be a nice building block for the team. More years of tanking will inevitably entail, but the Cavaliers will have a solid backbone due to acquiring this pick from the Boston Celtics, via the Brooklyn Nets, in the Kyrie Irving trade.
