28. Landry Shamet, PG, Wichita State

Shamet burst onto the scene late last season, coming alive during the Shockers’ tournament run. Now he’s taking on an even larger role and building on that momentum in his junior year. He is, quite simply, the best player on one of the best teams in college basketball.

While he doesn’t impress with his athleticism, Shamet has good size for the point guard spot at 6-foot-4. He’s a smooth ball handler with ample quickness, while his 3-point shoot continues to fall at an advanced rate.

Where Shamet really earns a first round grade, however, is defense. Smart two-way playmakers are at a premium, so expect his stock to continue rising as the season goes on.
