1-Anchorage Alehouse

And the number one Sports Bar in Anchorage, Alaska is the Anchorage Alehouse.  The Anchorage Alehouse is the epitome of Anchorage Sports bars. The midtown site was once a Canadian dining chain and hockey sports bar.  Now, the Anchorage Alehouse boasts about 75 beers on tap.

My favorite is an apricot ale, a slightly sweetened malt which goes very well with pizza, burgers, or the home made french fries I simply cannot ignore when sports invade the TV programming.  The menu is very robust, and includes favorites like pizza, salads, burgers and wraps.

This is a family friendly establishment, so don’t come with an impression of wild times. But sports are themselves the main attraction, so it works out well. And the wait staff are some of the friendliest in the city.  I watched the Philadelphia Eagles play here in the 2017 season, and each time I watched from here, they won.  You can check them out here:

You can bet I will be catching any and all NBA playoff games featuring the Philadelphia 76ers here as well.  Why mess with tradition, and success?
