Philadelphia 76ers Ben Simmons is the king of basketball multitasking. But has he met his match in American singer Tinashe when he steps off the basketball court?
Ben Simmons is a leader of the Philadelphia 76ers on the basketball court. He can score, toss out assists, and pull down rebounds. In fact, with the exception of a three-point shot, there is not much he cannot do on the basketball court.
But in the midst of a playoff run, and the team landing the 4-seed and whittling down their magic number to 3, Ben Simmons faces one of his greatest challenges. He must find a way to remain focused on basketball, despite letting the public know that he is dating American Singer Tinashe.
Good luck with that Ben!
Benashe? Tinashimmons?
Who am I to challenge the matters of the heart? Tinashe is a celebrity in her own right. She is a singer with a crisp voice and solid beats. She is all over the airwaves, and trying to list her top songs is an article on its own right. Let’s cut right to the chase. Her R&B sound is easy on the ears, and her dance moves are easy on the eyes. Her songs capture a good variety of beat, vocals, and instrumentals. The type of songs that urge even the hestitant to step out onto the dance floor.
And now, she has the attention of Ben Simmons. In my estimation, this is a win-win for the happy couple.
Twelve to go
Ben Simmons continues to make daily headlines. He is a rookie sensation at point guard, but the team now is entertaining the idea of moving him to the power forward role. That is in the face of statistical evidence that Simmons is an elite NBA point guard in the making? He keeps leading the team to wins, And while he didn’t manage to attract Rihanna, his recent news certainly takes him off the dating market for the time being.
Will it impact his play? For all I know, it may help it. Having that special someone makes rough days easier and celebratory times all the more special. So far, that definitely seems to be the case.
But the timing of the news does open up this relationship to a spectrum of unnecessary cause-and-effect analysis from social media gumshoes. A bad game? Probably distracted by Tinashe. Missed an easy layup? What’s Tinashe doing with his head? Before any slumps occur, the trolls who have lay dormant on Simmons all season as he smashes all rookie Triple Double records sans that of Oscar Robertson will suddenly spring back to life.

Will Ben Simmons really care? If you had Tinashe waiting patiently to hug you after a big game, would you?
