Darius Garland played five games for Vanderbilt before sustaining a knee injury and moving on to NBA Draft preparation. Despite the limited sample size, some mocks project Garland as high as fourth, showing faith in his recovery and skill set.

While not an elite athlete at 6-foot-3, Garland is a crafty ball handler who can score at all three levels and shred defenses with his passing. He’s one of the most dynamic live-ball creators in the draft, making him a valued commodity in a draft thin on lead guards outside the top-10.

There are natural questions about Garland’s defense, but he’s solid enough to defend his position well. Add in low concern levels about his health, and it’s easy to see teams jumping on Garland in a draft that could prioritize upside.
