Have you ever thought about what type of plant each Philadelphia 76ers player is most like? Yeah, you probably haven’t…until now! Sit back, relax, and get ready to read something that has very little to do with basketball — or sports, really.

I’m back again to compare Philadelphia 76ers players to something out of the ordinary (check out my Disney characters comparison). I wanted to focus on something near and dear to my heart, and that surrounds every inch of my bedroom… HOUSE PLANTS!

Plants bring me so much joy, especially when I need it the most (when Philadelphia sports spiral down the toilet bowl).

Tobias Harris: English ivy

I knew that I needed to find a plant that reflected Tobi’s connection and relationship with others and his fight for racial justice. English ivy does just that. The leafed flowering vine is a symbol of love, loyalty, friendship, and emotion.

This type of plant can climb and wrap around things as the vines can reach up to 66-98 feet in length! I equated this to Tobias spreading his wisdom and knowledge (because “he reads books”).  By speaking on subjects important to him, he is transporting that information onto others to speak on as well.

It’s an endless cycle that twists and turns like the vines of English ivy.
