The Sixers have the best record in the Eastern Conference. Who is stepping up so far this season? Plenty to discuss on this episode, including our Twitter poll results.

On this episode of The Sixer Sense Podcast, plenty of discussion revolves around the Sixers’ early success. Joining Lucas Johnson and Christopher Kline for all of the great hoops conversation is TSS contributor Jonathan Geib.

Things get started off with reactions to the games at the start of the new year. The games versus the Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets, and Denver Nuggets are discussed in depth.

After the game recaps, the dialogue ventures into how the two Sixers’ stars — Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons — have contributed to the overall success of the team. In addition, Doc Rivers’ coaching is discussed, and the credit he deserves is debated.

Following those topics, other players are brought up and how their production is helping lift the Sixers into the top teams conversation. Shake Milton, Tobias Harris, and Tyrese Maxey are all given plenty of praise in this portion of the podcast.

Then, as promised, the results that Sixer Sense followers have been waiting for are shared. But first, the trio offers their choice for each poll question related to which players should be swapped or kept — former Sixers vs. current Sixers. Four former Sixers were voted to be brought back to Philadelphia. Listen to find out who would be reunited with the 76ers and who would be excluded if there were fantasy GM moves made!

In the last topic discussion, Lucas, Chris, and John offer insight into Seth Curry’s contribution to the team’s hot start.
