The final stretch of the regular season is here Philadelphia 76ers fans. The franchise has 15 games left before their regular season is over and then the playoffs begin. While the team as a whole doesn’t have too many questions entering the postseason, there are three players on the Sixers that do have something to prove before the playoffs begin.

It should be noted the inspiration for this article came from Jason Reed of the Lake Show Life. Before beginning, George Hill should be an honorable mention. He was the Sixers big name trade at the NBA trade deadline and has barely played up to this point, but he’s a proven veteran so he was excluded from the actual list.

3 player with the most to prove to end the season: Shake Milton

I recently wrote praise for Shake Milton‘s solid play during the month of April alongside the Furkan Korkmaz. His 3-point shot is at his highest percentage of the season during this current month, but overall he’s struggled from downtown the season.

He has to keep up his hot 3-point shooting for the rest of the season so there is a level of confidence head coach Doc Rivers can have in the third year combo guard entering the postseason. However, having a consistent 3-point stroke isn’t the only thing Milton has to prove.

I’ve already written and spoke on The Sixer Sense Podcast that Milton needs to learn how to play off of Hill. Milton has either been playing besides Ben Simmons or been the primary ball-handler in the second unit.

With the addition of Hill, Milton will have to show he can play off the ball for the majority of minutes moving forward. Combine that with a reliable 3-point shot, he should have a pretty big role in the playoffs.
