The Philadelphia 76ers have a stacked roster heading into the postseason. Joel Embiid would be an MVP favorite if he didn’t miss 19 games. Ben Simmons is a strong candidate to win Defensive Player of the Year. Tobias Harris is almost in the 50-40-90 club and Danny Green was one of the original 3-and-D wings in the NBA.

However, fans could easily forget about shooting guard Seth Curry. Curry has always been labeled as the younger brother of future Hall of Famer Stephen Curry, however, Philly’s Curry is becoming an elite shooter and solid starter on his own merit.

Seth Curry has the best 3-point percent among active players and the second best all-time only behind Steve Kerr. When Curry has been healthy and aggressive this season, he’s made the Sixers hard to beat and Philly needs him to be looking to score during the playoffs if they want a shot to win it all.

The Philadelphia 76ers need Curry to be aggressive in the playoffs.

More from Sixers News

Curry started the year hot shooting and scoring before he contracted COVID-19. After coming back from that illness and repeated ankle injuries have kept Curry from playing at his best level for most of the season. However, when he does play his best basketball, the Sixers usually do pretty well.

When Curry scores 20-plus points the 76ers have a record of 10-0 and when he scores 15-plus points, Philly still has a record of 16-2. It should also be noted that when Curry shoots at least 40.0 percent the 76ers have a record of 24-5. Those are ridiculous stats and it just shows how important an aggressive scoring Curry can be to this Sixers roster.

dark. Next. Hypothetical Lowry sign-and-trade

When Curry is aggressive and efficient the Philadelphia 76ers are almost impossible to defeat. With that in mind, Curry’s shooting is key to the Sixers’ postseason run this year.
