10. Domantas Sabonis

The Indiana Pacers big man comes in at number 10 in these rankings. Domantas Sabonis a great scorer, passer, and rebounder. He’s a two-time All-Star in just five seasons. The crazy thing is that he’s playing out of position with Myles Turner at center. He would be even better if he didn’t have to share the frontcourt with another center.

9.  Ben Simmons

For all of the issues that Simmons has, he’s still one of the best playmakers and defenders in the NBA. He was horrendous in the playoffs offensively for the Philadelphia 76ers but he did a great job defending Bradley Beal and Trae Young this postseason. He will probably be higher on this list next year if his role changes or if he gets traded to a new team.

Must Read. Pivotal offseason for Reed. light

8. Brandon Ingram

Back in 2016, the Sixers had to choose between Simmons and Brandon Ingram. It can be argued that Ingram is the better player between he and Simmons now, especially when it comes to his fit next to Joel Embiid. Ingram is a three level score, who is a lengthy defender and playmaker for the New Orleans Pelicans. He’s not elite defensively but there’s no question that Ingram is a bonafide scorer. It should be noted this All-Star never made the postseason.

7. Jaylen Brown

All-Star Jaylen Brown has a legit case that he could have been Most Improved Player of the Year. He’s arguably the best two-way player on this list. He’s a three-level scorer and an elite defender for the Boston Celtics. He’s played well in the postseason but missed these playoffs this year due to an injury.

6. Zion Williamson

If Zion Williamson had made the playoffs this year with the Pelicans, he’d be in the top-five of this list. However, the All-Star big man is still a physical force in the NBA with his strength, speed, and verticality. He still needs to improve his outside shot and defensive I.Q. but if he does, then he has a chance of being a top-two player on this list in the future.
