5 small forwards free agent options in 2021: Kent Bazemore

Like Valentine, Kent Bazemore is yet another undersized small forward at 6-foot-4. However, unlike his counterpart on the previous slide, Bazemore is a seasoned veteran. Now it should be noted that this isn’t the first time I’ve written about Bazemore being a free agent target for the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason.

Nothing has changed between then and now. Bazemore is a great bench guy who proved that he can contribute for a team in the playoff hunt. This past season, he averaged 7.4 points and 1.0 steals, while shooting 40.8 percent from behind the arc.

He’s also still a very solid defender despite being 32-years-old. He would be in the same category of player as the Sixers’ soon-to-be free agent Green is as a 3-and-D player. Having multiple players like that on surrounding Embiid would be a plus for Philly.

It’s completely possible that he stay on the Golden State Warriors who he played for last season. They are getting back a healthy Klay Thompson and that alone should help them make a deep playoff run. However, if he doesn’t want to stay, then the 76ers should be high on his list.
