20. Terry Rozier
The Charlotte Hornets just gave Terry Rozier a big contract extension this offseason and he deserves it. He had a career year scoring the ball and he’s a great scoring compliment to LaMelo Ball. In the long term, he should be a sixth man, but until James Bouknight is ready to start, Rozier will still be a solid starter.
19. Gary Trent Jr.
Gary Trent Jr. came onto the scene last year and was traded to the Toronto Raptors at the trade deadline. Now with Kyle Lowry gone from Canada, he can make up a pretty solid backcourt with Fred VanVleet. He’s a solid two-way wing that still has the potential to become even a more potent scorer.
18. Evan Fournier
Evan Fournier received a nice payday with the New York Knicks this offseason. He’s a good 3-level score and with the lack of outside scoring talent on that roster, Fournier could see similar numbers as he had on the Orlando Magic. He’s not a great defender but the Knicks need his offense more than defense.
17. Malik Beasley
Ever since Malik Beasley arrived on the Minnesota Timberwolves a season and a half ago, he’s been a potent scorer. He’s a three-level scorer and could go off for 25 points any given game. Despite having legal issues last season, he’s still an important part of this Timberwolves team as of now.
16. Dillon Brooks
The Memphis Grizzlies are a young talented team and Dillon Brooks is a big part of that. He’s a solid two-way wing that struggles at times to make outside shots, but he had a big coming-out party in the playoffs last year and there’s a good chance he carries that over into this next season. He could climb in these rankings very quickly if he continues to develop.
