76ers vs Lakers Odds Tonight

Coming off back-to-back wins, the 28-19 Philadelphia 76ers look to extend their winning streak to three as they host the 24-24 Los Angeles Lakers tonight at 7:30 PM EST.

WynnBET has the 76ers as 2.5-point favorites and -140 on the moneyline (bet $14 to win $10) while the over-under is 218.

76ers Starting Lineup Tonight

The 76ers are expected to start G Tyrese Maxey, G Furkan Korkmaz, F Matisse Thybulle, F Tobias Harris, and C Joel Embiid.

76ers Injury Report

Danny Green is questionable to play, while Seth Curry, Shake Milton, and Ben Simmons are all ruled out.

76ers vs Lakers Prediction

Joel Embiid has been downright unstoppable in his last 15 games. Averaging 34.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 55.9% from the field and 38.8% from outside, Embiid has powered the 76ers to 12-3 record in that span.

Behind Embiid, the 76ers are tied for second in net rating and lead the NBA in offensive rating over the last 15 games at 116.5, a mark that would rank ninth all-time over the course of a full season.

Now they’ll play a Lakers team that just welcomed back Anthony Davis in a win over the Nets. They desperately need him as their leaky defense has been a problem all season. But with Davis likely on a minutes restriction, he won’t be able to slow down Embiid over the course of 40 minutes.

As a general rule of thumb, I don’t step in front of speeding trains. Embiid may actually be bigger, faster, and stronger than a speeding train. So I’m not stepping in front of him, either. With only two NBA games today, Embiid knows all eyes will be on him as he looks to cement his MVP candidacy with a dominant performance against LeBron, Davis & the Lakers.

I’d say Tobias Harris’ inconsistency and Seth Curry’s injury are concerning, but frankly I don’t think it matters with how good Embiid has been. He’s been the best player on the planet in 2022, and now he gets a chance to prove it against the best player of the last 20 years.

Give me the 76ers -2.5 as my best bet. I like to ride on trains, not step in front of them.

If you want to join me on this train ride to the bank, head on over to WynnBET and make your bet now.
