3 potential free agents with Rivers ties: Andre Drummond

Last but not least is former Sixers’ backup center, Andre Drummond. Prior to the Ben Simmons trade, Drummond was one of the best backup centers in the NBA. For most of this season, Drummond was one of the main reasons why Philly wasn’t the worst rebound team in the NBA.

With the 76ers, Drummond averaged 6.1 points, 8.8 rebounds,1.1 steals, and 0.9 blocks last season. For his career, Drummond has career averages of 13.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.5 blocks.

Granted Drummond has only played for Rivers just this past year, the two have a relationship goes well beyond this past year and there’s a chance Drummond could come back to Philly to backup Embiid yet again.

If he chooses to find a bigger role and bigger contract he won’t be without his options. Teams like the Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, Brooklyn Nets, and New York Knicks could use an upgrade like Drummonds.
