It looks like the former Philadelphia 76ers veteran guard Patrick Beverley could be eyeing an NBA comeback again.
On Saturday, the 38-year-old veteran guard was spotted in a summer run with some other pros, including the Oklahoma City Thunder big man, Chet Holmgren. A quick highlight tape showed Beverley knocking down threes, handling the ball, and making some plays on the offensive end of the floor.

If Pat Bev’s still got it, could he be worth a call?
The state of the Sixers will force this question anytime an aging veteran with plenty of experience is showing that they still have gas in the tank. The Sixers need win-now acquisitions. Unfortunately for Beverley, they are unlikely to eye a reunion with the 12-year veteran this season.
For the time being, the Sixers have an open roster spot that will likely remain open. The team’s most logical cut candidate is Jabari Walker, and there’s a clear desire to keep him on board. When the Sixers needed to make a corresponding move to add Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the Sixers chose to trade Johni Broome for cash considerations, rather than waiving Walker.
Similar to seasons in the past, the Sixers will likely enter the 2026-2027 season with an open roster spot. In December, they’ll begin eyeing the free agency market. Realistically, further roster moves could be on hold until closer to the trade deadline, as the Sixers could make swaps or look for different options in the buyout market following the trade deadline.
For Beverley, he hasn’t played in the NBA since 2023-2024. That year, he started with the Sixers, appearing in 47 games. Seeing the court for 19.6 minutes off the bench, Beverley shot 43.2% from the field and hit 32.1% of his threes. The veteran guard produced 6.3 points per game, came down with 3.1 rebounds per game, and dished out 3.1 assists per game.
Leading up to the 2024 deadline, the Sixers weren’t known to be shopping Beverley. The Milwaukee Bucks gave the Sixers a call and an offer, and the former Philly front office took the deal. Beverley finished his run in Milwaukee with 26 appearances. He produced averages of 6.0 points, 2.6 assists, and 3.6 rebounds. The veteran shot 39.1% from the field.
Since then, Beverley has played for Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel and PAOK in Greece. It’s unclear if Beverley will finally get a shot at an NBA comeback this season, but the Sixers will likely avoid bringing in the veteran guard, as they have more pressing needs elsewhere on the depth chart.
