Last season, Embiid missed 44 games during the regular season due to injuries and load management. The year before that, he was not in uniform for 63 outings. In both instances, the former MVP did not have the luxury of a healthy offseason to work on his body and properly prepare for the season. Well, that changes now.
The front office noted earlier this offseason that Embiid is indeed in much better shape to start the summer. Paul's confirmation of the All-Star's status probably even ties to LeBron's decision to sign with the 76ers. Of course, the team boasts a higher chance of winning the championship with Embiid healthy. Otherwise, James would not have deemed them an appealing destination.
