Dario Saric will be a Philadelphia 76ers player this year, but just how and where can he help the team?

Dario Saric’s visit to Philadelphia started off in the most Philadelphia 76ers way possible. As Saric was reportedly on a plane from Croatia to Philadelphia — a tidbit of information released by his agent and his father, not a very smart move — Sixers fans across the country tracked the flight.

Some took pictures of the plane as it flew over their house. Others raced down to the Philadelphia Intentional Airport to get a look at Dario for the first time in Philly since he was initially drafted. Overall, many restraining orders should have been released.

I kid, but really, it was a bit excessive, all for a player who hasn’t even played an NBA game yet.

Dario will have a physical on Friday and then likely will sign with the Sixers officially, as they subsequently buy out his contract in Turkey.

As Saric joins the team, fans know that he is good, but are really wondering how good, and in what areas can he help the team? Saric is said to be a versatile player that is effective all over the floor, but still, we need to know some specifics.

I’m going to over a few of the areas where he will help the Sixers. Not all of them necessarily pertain to on-court functions, but they are still important to the business side and fan side of Saric and the Sixers.

Without a doubt, the draft and stash of Saric worked. He was placed overseas for two years without taking up cap space or a roster spot, and still developed into a player who is impacting basketball on a national level. He will help the team out a lot, and actually can find a solid fit with the team pretty easily. Saric has potential to be really special in the NBA.
