Recently fired UW head coach Lorenzo Romar is seeking opportunities. One exists under the umbrella of the Philadelphia 76ers. Here are five reasons they should hire Lorenzo Romar

The NBA has none of the salesmanship qualities required to succeed as an NCAA head coach. In fact, recruiting is not even on the job description. All personnel decisions are made by the front office.  The Philadelphia 76ers are no exception.

But the recently fired University of Washington head coach, Lorenzo Romar, excelled at selling his team to the constant wave of new recruits. In fact, he did so well at the salesmanship role, that his weaknesses at coaching the team were overlooked.   Until they no longer were overlooked this year.

But what could an NCAA coach who has questions about his coaching ability offer an NBA team like the Philadelphia 76ers?  Plenty.  Lorenzo Romar was more than just a coach to the players of the University of Washington Huskies. He was the friend and mentor of some rather talented young basketball players.
