4. Jarrey Foster, SMU (Big Board: 29)
After gaining some momentum last season, a knee injury cut Foster’s campaign short. Now he’ll look to bounce back and establish himself as a first-round prospect, possessing several tools the Sixers should key in on.
Foster also has a former teammate currently with the Sixers in Shake Milton. Like the latter, he would add a versatile wing who can shoot, defend multiple positions and occasionally operate as the secondary ball handler.
Foster is stronger than Milton, playing physical perimeter defense and carving out his niche in the draft discussion with his effort on that end. He has a legitimate chance to defend one through three in the NBA, offering teams ample versatility.
Despite inconsistent shooting from season to season, Foster is a career 32.3 percent three-point shooter on respectable volume. He can spot-up proficiently, which provides value in NBA offenses, the Sixers included. His ability to put it on the floor, again, is something the Sixers need.
