3 NBA Draft prospects the Sixers may regret passing on: Luka Garza

The National Player of the Year was not a sought-after player in this year’s NBA Draft, but he would have fit right away in Philadelphia. The 76ers are screaming for size and they did address that in this draft in the second round, but the big issue may be the lack of instant impact. Luka Garza is 22 years old with lots of college experience in one of the toughest conferences in basketball.

Though there are a lot of questions about Garza’s durability and fitness, he is a big man who can shoot, something Philadelphia needs. With NBA trainers and coaches, Garza will be put into a position to address these issues and, if there is one person that can help Garza with that, it is Joel Embiid. For years and years, people questioned Embiid’s physical fitness and this year, we saw the change and it was clear that he put the work in and changed his diet to better himself.

If Philly was to pair these two together, they could have had a scary big man duo for the future. Also to add, Garza would have given the 76ers instant size off the bench.
