The NBA is planning to announce the Opening Week and Christmas Day slates. The reveal will be on Good Morning America, and will likely hit social media as soon as it's out.
You can more than likely pencil the Sixers in for one of the first games of the new season, along with a Christmas Day battle. Of course, the entire league wants to see LeBron James in action with his new team. Plus, the Jaylen Brown presence in Philadelphia will be of interest as well. The earlier the Sixers debut, the better for the NBA.
As for Christmas, the 76ers don't get a game every year, but they've had six games on Christmas since the start of the Joel Embiid era. Bringing in LeBron almost locks it up. The superstar forward has spent a record-breaking 20 Christmases playing hoops. If there's a chance that LeBron calls it a career in 2027, you don't miss the opportunity to get him in one final Xmas Day game.

The NBA will announce the NBA Cup schedules. Oh, the In-Season Tournament that everybody loves to hate. I'm sure if the 76ers had a better track record with it, the tourney would be embraced.
Again, the 76ers have so much hype around them that not even one of Adam Silver's big gimmicks can bring anybody down. So far, we know who the Sixers will play. In East Group B, they'll take on the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, and defending NBA Cup and NBA Finals champs, the New York Knicks.

The wait will be over. The full schedule will be out, and Sixers fans can start circling all of the most important days on the calendar.
As a reminder, the Sixers will have a league-leading 34 nationally televised games during the 2026-2027 NBA season. The hype for this team is real, and we'll soon find out which games will be on the prime-time stage.
