Tobias Harris vs. Khris Middleton
Tobias Harris is coming off a season where he was felt ‘underutilized’ in the shadows of Jimmy Butler. However, with Butler’s departure and the signing of Harris to a $190 million, five-year deal, the latter’s responsibilities during the season will increase.
Khris Middleton also signed an extension of his contract during this preseason — a five-year deal worth $178 million. Also with the departure of Malcolm Brogdon, Middleton too will look to take on more responsibilities for the team, especially through his 3-point shooting.
When comparing these two players, Khris Middleton’s resume looks better due to him having one NBA All-star appearance. However, Tobias’ numbers are better than those of Middleton, except in the categories of assists and steals. Tobias averaged 20 points, eight boards and three assists per game, compared to Middleton’s 18 points, six boards and four assists.
The matchups between these two will be very interesting, where both will be highly efficient on both ends of the court. This one is rather hard to call so I will make it a draw.
